Information for Students
Check-in Location
All students should check in at the southeast entrance of Desert Mountain Arena before entering the arena. This is where you will receive your reader card so that your name is called.
It is also highly suggested that you use the restroom while in this area before heading inside the arena.
Check-in Time
Check-in begins at 1:00 pm. All students should be checked in and in the arena by 1:45 pm. Students who arrive after that time may be directed to overflow seating and may not be able to sit with their cohort.
Regalia Information
All students should be dressed and in their regalia before entering the arena. This includes a maroon cap and gown and a hood if applicable for students graduating with their master's degree or doctorate.
Honors cords will not be available at the ceremony. If you qualify for honors cords (undergraduates with a GPA of 3.4 or higher), you can pick up those cords at the University Registrar’s Office.
Honors cords are not provided to students who are receiving a master's or doctorate.

ASU Clear Bag Policy
All ceremonies taking place at Desert Financial Arena are subject to ASU's Clear Bag Policy. Please visit their website for a list of prohibited items.
Seating information
Students will be directed to sit with their schools. Please check in with our volunteer staff on the floor and they will be glad to direct you to the appropriate seat with your classmates.
Our graduates from the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice and the School of Public Affairs will be seated on the left side of the bowl.
Our graduates from the School of Community Resources and Development and the School of Social Work will be seated on the right side of the bowl.
