Maricopa County Leadership and Education Advancing Public Service
Celebrating 10 years as a community partnership, 2014 - 2024!
The Maricopa County Leadership and Education Advancing Public Service (MCLEAPS) program offers students paid internships across various Maricopa County departments. This partnership between Arizona State University and Maricopa County provides students with hands-on experience, introducing them to public service careers - specifically in county government - while offering specialized career training applicable to any field.
MCLEAPS is open to both undergraduate and graduate students from any major at ASU, and is only offered during the Spring and Fall semesters.
Full-time, immersive internships are available in fall and spring semesters, with most being project-based and department-specific. These roles complement students' studies and prepare top-performing individuals for public service careers.
This award-winning program, approved by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and Arizona State University, offers an exciting opportunity for students and Maricopa County and exemplifies Dr. Michael Crow’s vision of Community and Societal Impact.
