Accelerated Degree Program Options for the Hainan University - Arizona State University Joint International Tourism College (HAITC)
Accelerated bachelor's and master's degree programs are designed for high-achieving undergraduate students who want the opportunity to combine undergraduate coursework with graduate coursework to accelerate completion of their master’s degree.
This program allows students to obtain both a bachelor's and master's degree in as little as five years. The fee for this program is $2,000 during the senior year of the BS program. If admitted to the accelerated program, students will start taking graduate level courses in their Senior year. Students will also complete the remaining requirements for the BS at the same time. No more than 12 credits can be shared between undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Students are considered undergraduate students until their undergraduate degree is awarded, at which point they move into their plus one year to fulfill the remaining credits needed for the graduate degree. Students are required to apply for graduate degree the normal graduate application process.

The following pairings are available for HAITC:
Students must be in junior year to submit an accelerated application.
PSPP students must maintain a 3.4 GPA and complete statistics course prior to starting accelerated courses senior year.
PRSM/TDM students must maintain 3.0.

Applications are reviewed by faculty committee. Decisions are based on overall academic performance to determine the likelihood of success in graduate level coursework as a continuing undergraduate level student. Below are some of the academic performance areas considered:
- ASU Cumulative GPA
- Major GPA
- GPA in the core courses (Students should have B's or better in these)
- Repeated major courses (an explanation of why the repeat was needed will be required in the application)
- No Academic Integrity Violations
Review the overall course maps for each of the graduate programs. You will take the 12 credits outlined below senior year of undegraduate to use towards the graduate program.

You should submit an admissions application to ASU Graduate College your senior year while you are in the accelerated program. You are expected to have a baccalaureate degree completed and posted to your transcript before you are officially admitted to ASU Graduate College.
All applicants to the programs must submit the materials required to corresponding programs below.
Public Administration (Emergency Management), MPA applicants must be prepared to submit:
- graduate admission application and application fee
- official transcripts
- statement of career and educational goals
- two letters of recommendation (both of which should be academic recommendations)
- proof of English proficiency
