Scholarships

We know that experiential learning can come with real costs — transportation, time away from paid work and other out-of-pocket expenses. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust to increase access to hands-on, community-based learning in the nonprofit sector across Maricopa County. Through this support, students who participate in the Piper Servant Leader Network are eligible to receive a $500 scholarship during each of the program’s first two phases:

Phase 1: After completing NLM 160: Voluntary Action and Community Leadership (includes service learning and job shadowing)

Phase 2: After completing NLM 220: Introduction to Nonprofit Organizations and a nonprofit internship

That’s up to $1,000 in total scholarship support as you build experience, skills and connections in the community.

Who is eligible?

This scholarship opportunity is available to full-time undergraduate students pursuing an immersion program at Arizona State University.

When will I receive the scholarship?

Scholarships will be processed at the conclusion of the semester. Students are required to complete all service hours and pass the course with a C or better.

Awards are disbursed through the ASU financial aid system. If you have questions about how this scholarship may impact your financial aid, please contact ASU Financial Aid.
