Paige Baker

Paige Baker

Paige Baker has more than eight years of experience in higher education, specializing in student engagement, program coordination and community partnership development. A proud Sun Devil, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University and has applied her expertise globally in higher education. Her career has included working with universities in Australia, where she supported international education initiatives and student success programs. Currently, she serves as a program specialist for the Piper Servant Leader Network within ASU’s Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions, fostering leadership, service learning, and collaboration between students and community partners.

Bailey Borman

Bailey Borman

Bailey Borman is the director of Service Learning and Community Engagement at the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions and an assistant clinical professor in the School of Public Affairs. In her role, she advances the college's service and community engagement efforts through research, experiential learning and strategic partnerships. One key initiative, the Piper Servant Leader Network, connects undergraduate students with service-learning opportunities in the nonprofit sector, fostering purpose-driven careers and enhancing capacity within Maricopa County.

Anne Kotleba

Anne Kotleba

As an artist and educator, Anne Kotleba is arming people with the tools and courage to define their own identity and build a more just world. Her passion for community organizing was forged in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and strengthened on the streets of East Baltimore. Anne has facilitated community-centered projects locally and abroad unleashing the power of art for action and economic development. 

Anne is an associate teaching professor at Arizona State University and the program lead for undergraduate curricula in the Nonprofit Leadership and Management program. She is the campus director for the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance at ASU.   

Anne graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, has an M.A. and M.F.A. in Community Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Master of Legal Studies from the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. She is a proud AmeriCorps alum, former Colorado State Park ranger and youth basketball coach.

Dean Cynthia A. Lietz

Dean Cynthia A. Lietz

Cynthia A. Lietz is dean of the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions and President's Professor in the School of Social Work at Arizona State University. She is a seasoned college administrator. She is proud to lead a community of faculty, staff, students and community members who are committed to working together to address challenges facing our society. The need for effective, evidence-based public service has never been more clear.

Lietz is also an active scholar who conducts research that informs strengths-based practice with youth and their families. Specifically, she applies the construct of resilience to family systems examining the ways family units cope with and grow stronger despite trauma, loss and other challenges. She is particularly interested in the translation of research to practice.

Megan Pontes

Megan Pontes

Megan Pontes is an assistant teaching professor for nonprofit leadership and management at the School of Community Resources and Development within the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions. She has a B.S. in Business Administration from the College of Charleston, M.B.A. from the University of Florida, and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies focused in nonprofit and philanthropic leadership from the University of San Diego. She also holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of San Diego and is a Certified Nonprofit Professional. She has 13 years of experience in the financial sector in addition to years of experience as a board member, staff and volunteer within the nonprofit sector. Her research explores the intersection of leadership and the nonprofit sector, including how leadership is enacted and unfolds within nonprofit organizations, the realm of philanthropy and through advocacy for social justice.

Megan Pontes, PhD is an Assistant Teaching Professor teaching nonprofit leadership and management at the School of Community Resources and Development within the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions. She has a BS in Business Administration from the College of Charleston, MBA from the University of Florida, and a PhD in Leadership Studies focused in nonprofit and philanthropic leadership from the University of San Diego. Olya Sharifi

A first-generation college graduate and Ukrainian immigrant, Olya credits nonprofit organizations not only with providing financial support but also leadership opportunities that have been essential to her journey. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management and a master’s degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education. With 14 years of experience in higher education, her path fuels a deep belief in education as a transformative force for equity and access to opportunity.

Her experience leading a Girl Scouts troop in South Phoenix — helping expose young girls to recreation, leadership, and college opportunities — continues to guide her work today.
