SERVECON is the College’s signature welcome orientation for new students. Designed to get students excited about public service from day one, the event features faculty from all schools in fast-paced, interactive leadership forums.
The inaugural Co-op camp will be held Sept. 30-Oct. 2, 2016. This weekend leadership retreat helps students build a sense of camaraderie and community, learn collaboration and teamwork skills, and build a sense of excitement about the possibilities of hands-on work throughout their college experience.
In both the fall and spring semester, the College hosts a day of service in the community. Past events have drawn more than 150 students, faculty, staff and friends to help at the Maricopa County Human Services Campus, Margaret T. Hance Park, and the Westwood community in central Phoenix.
Each year, teams of students are challenged to determine challenges facing our community, then form teams around common goals. In the 2016 Dean's Cup Challenge, a poll brought out three clear issues: housing, health and the cost of higher education.
