We all deserve a break
Our work as changemakers is inspiring and energizing. It can also be challenging and overwhelming. It’s natural to feel a bit depleted at times when you are doing all you can to stand up and step into the non-stop opportunities that exist to bring about meaningful change in the world. That is why activities that produce wellness and balance are just as important as those that steer our impact forward.
With this notion in mind, we thought it would be fun to share the ways our senior leaders rest, relax and recharge to better prepare them for their important and busy roles. As you see what we are reading, streaming and how we are recreating, we hope to inspire you to take some time this spring to invest in your own personal development. Try to get outside to enjoy nature – we have lots of great suggestions for you. Pick up a new book or stream a movie or show that we have been enjoying. And, most importantly, as U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy says, do this together. I hope during the second half of the spring semester, you can find a few extra moments to spend time with family, friends, and of course, those pets we have loved to see pop on Zoom from time to time.
Wishing you an abundance of wellness this spring, Watts College!
