Lived Experience Advisory Council

The Lived Experience Advisory Council (LEAC) is a council of individuals with lived experience in regards to homelessness that envisions a future that ensures the voices of those with lived experiences remain embedded in the decision-making process for all proposed changes that impact the community. The Council actively engages in advocacy efforts that promote justice and inclusion for those that are, those that have, and those that will experience homelessness.

By truly creating an inclusive and safe space, the LEAC strives to promote membership that is composed of individuals with lived experience/expertise with homelessness that are representative of the communities we serve including geographic, race and ethnicity, LGBTQIA+, as well as other populations historically underrepresented within the Southwest. The LEAC currently operates as an independent council with the organizational support of Arizona State University’s Action Nexus on Housing and Homelessness.

Meetings

The LEAC currently holds two meetings per month, on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month.  Please email [email protected] if you would like to join the council.
