Ed Pastor Public Servant Leadership Award

In 2021, The Pastor Center inaugurated the Ed Pastor Public Servant Leadership Awards to recognize a public policy leader that embodies the leadership legacy of Congressman Ed Pastor. Nominees should embody the leadership qualities of:

Bridge-building between different groups, constituencies & interests
Finding common-ground among different or adversarial parties
Building trust, collaboration and consensus
Selfless dedication to public good

Hon. Ronnie Lopez (posthumous recognition)

2022:

Hon. Mary Murguia, Chief United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit

Ed Pastor Public Service Organization Award

In 2022, an additional award category was created to recognize organizations dedicated to public service and creating opportunities for those who are underserved and underrepresented in our society

RECIPIENTS

2022:

ALIENTO, along with the Arizona Undocumented Workers Relief Fund (jointly awarded). Both organizations were recognized for their collaborative work to provide support to immigrant families during the COVID pandemic crisis.
