Community Solutions Corps

Developing the Next Generation of Public Servants

With over 800 community partners, 600,000 hours of service in local communities and use-inspired research, students in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions are a united body of people creating real change in the community. To better reflect the immense work our students accomplish, we consider all students in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions to be members of a Community Solution Corps.

Through the Community Solutions Corps, students solidify the link between learning and service through an academic framework wherein student teams, led by faculty, work directly with partner organizations to develop and implement impactful solutions to real-world challenges. Hands-on learning experiences take the form of a Solutions-Based Learning credit requirement and a Community Impact E-Portfolio.
