The ASU Collaboratory on Central:
Meeting the Needs of Older and Disabled Adults Living in Public Housing through Interprofessional Collaborative Practice

The historic Westward Ho Hotel in recent decades has served as a low-income housing complex in downtown Phoenix. As a result of a unique university-community collaboration, residents now receive assistance with health and social service needs while students gain competencies in interprofessional collaborative practice. Learn how students are meeting the needs of older and disabled low-income residents through interprofessional collaborative practice.

Join us as we learn to:

  • Describe ASU Collaboratory on Central’s model of  interprofessional collaborative practice.
  • Discuss how the ASU Collaboratory on Central integrates interprofessional collaborative practice while addressing the health and social service needs of low-income older and disabled adults in a residential setting.
  • Relate student perspectives on how interprofessional collaborative practice at the Collaboratory on Central is impacting their professional development and work with individuals, families, and the community.
  • Discuss Collaboratory on Central’s approach to meeting the health and social service needs of low-income older and disabled residents.
