Alumni named among new Flinn-Brown Fellows

Five School of Public Affairs alumni are among 35 chosen by the Arizona Center for Civic Leadership as part of the 2014 Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy. 

  • Will Barnow, Chief Legislative Liaison for the Arizona Department of Corrections (one of the first Marvin Andrews Fellows)
  • Jonathan Bates, government relations specialist, Arizona Department of Transportation
  • Ben Henderson, economic development specialist, City of Phoenix
  • Chris Kyselka, academic professional, Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering
  • Sean Price, veteran programs administrator, Arizona Department of Veterans' Services

Fellows will strengthen their commitment to public service through a series of training opportunities to expand their capacity as state-level leaders. 

The Arizona Center for Civic Leadership, administered by the Foundation, was launched in 2010 to strengthen civic leadership at all levels throughout Arizona. The Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy is one of the Center’s major programs in partnership with the Tucson-based Thomas R. Brown Foundations.
